Rendered this one with both a black & a white background... also pasted it to UF to have a transparent background... layered, chopped and played till I got what I believe is what I envisioned... this flame is reaching out of it's domain....
Well shucks... Thank you... This was a flame I found right out of the box so to speak... just opening Apophysis at work.. with a touch of tugging on the triangles I had this... and I love images that look like they are coming out of there confined space... and had to wait till this am to finally try and see if I could make this one do it also.
One in a million times for me I actually come up with something creative.

Oh my - how did you manage to make those intricate webs get out of that black space I cannot comprehend - I mean I can use masking and stuff but this thing is beyond me - did you do 2 identical flames on two different backgrounds ??? - well my little brain is working really hard while looking at that IT'S BRILLIANT!!!! and I love the gradient - really the purple is stunnig
Yes I rendered the original flame once with a black background, once with a white background. Copied and pasted the original flame to UF so I could export image with a transparent background.
Then I opened them all in PS and put the white layer first.. followed by multiple copies of the transparent flame... then the black one on top. Cut out the black background flame where I wanted it to hang over into the black. Lots of work but actually simple. Try it..
The gradient I made in UF and used in Apophysis.
Thanks again for your comments...
Holler anytime if you want help trying this....
